I’ve been making these finished flatware pieces for over 20 years. I have my signature style glass bead. I create the bead by making a base color long barrel shape first. Once the shape is perfected, I roll it in a reactive raku frit. Raku is my favorite, as you can pull some really beautiful organic colors from the glass. Depending on the base glass, the reaction can be really unexpected. To finish, I apply a clear dot using only the best clear glass made. From there, the glass goes directly into a digital kiln, where it is slowly cooled overnight. This stabalizes the glass and ensures the durability. After the glass is cooled, the beads are removed from the rods, and cleaned by hand with a high power dremel tool to clean the remains of a product used to prevent the glass from sticking to the rods.

I then select a finished serving utensil to make the finished product. All of my products are made with food grade stainless steel finishes and have been carefully and thoughtfully designed. I have sold these for over 20 years at fine art shows across the country, as well as in stores.

NOTE: Please handwash these items, as the glass can be subjected to thermal shock in a dishwasher. Custom orders welcome!
